My partner and I asked Damyan to teach us how to lead climb outdoors, only having climbed top rope in the gym before. We were quite nervous about climbing on real rock for the first time, but Damyan’s calm and very patient manner helped put us at ease and this helped us to learn the fundamentals of lead climbing quickly. By the end of the day, we felt confident with clipping in, threading an anchor and lowering off, all whilst admiring the beautiful views from Vitosha mountain.
