Ice climbing is now a vital part of any alpine climber’s quiver of skills. The equipment and clothing has advanced enough that the sport has become much more accommodating. These advancements are allowing climbers to push the limits of their abilities and to test the limits of possible routes. Ice climbing is an incredibly rewarding pursuit. Nearly all of those that give it a try wind-up hooked. Many even become “ice climbing junkies.”

First high up in the mountain drop the temperatures down and if the weather becomes cold enough are suitable for climbing located lower waterfalls. Usually, the best months are December and January when is not much snow and danger of avalanches is missing.
